Anybody else still surprised and relieved when they wake up sober and WITHOUT a hangover?

The first thing I realize when I wake up is that I DON'T feel like garbage, and I actually remember that I DIDN'T drink last night.

God that is a great feeling.

Agreed. I love being able to wake up in the morning and not go "I can't remember what happened last night."

It is a great feeling for sure! Sometimes I do not sleep so well and am tired at work. However it is nothing like those days of being extreamly hungover watching the clock all day as the time creeped by slowly. I love my sobriety and do not take it for granted. Life is emotional and full of ups and downs but I like that I wake up to face it with a clear head.

Oh yeah, the first few weeks, I was amazed at how I'd almost forgotten what it was like to get a good night's sleep, to actually feel rested in the morning, to DREAM and be able to remember. Like a new life, really, in many ways.

Yes, it is great to wake up and not wonder if I made any drunk calls or emails the night before. Ugh!

I never woke up feeling like garbage, but I am glad that I wake up and don't have to worry about if I did something bad the night before.....
