sober sat morning

well made it thru a Fri night without drinking. There were a few brief moments when I was ready to call someone and go get some drinks but thought it thru and went home sober. Good morning so far. nice to have no hangover, blackout, my dog is happy I didn't wake up half drunk from the night before.

However... Im a bit nervous about the rest of the day. In all honesty if I don't drink Friday, I start on Sat afternoon. I have to keep remembering how it will turn out, remember how I felt last weekend when I decided I was done and remember how good it feels right now to not be sick and be productive this morning. One moment at a time today.

How about finding an AA meeting in your area?
It's a good way to learn how to live sober....

Hi Belle!
I'm glad you made it through Friday! I can relate to how you feel Saturday, about not drinking Friday. It was extra high on my list to get hammered!
Moment by moment. You can do it.!!!

Way to go belle! It feels weird at first - my first weekend I felt so lonely and like I was missing all the fun everyone else was having, even though I drank at home and didn't go out! The first time we do anything sober is the hardest. But each subsequent time gets a little easier.

The hangover free mornings are STILL wonderful even at 6 months sober!!
