AA is not for everyone....never claimed to be
and has never run a membership drive...
I sincerely hope everyone interested in living sober
finds a way to do that.
I've long ago quit trying to convince anyone about anything.
My AA experience has given me a beneficial lifestyle.
I'll continue to enjoy being an AA recovered alcoholic
and has never run a membership drive...

I know I tried all sorts of ways to get and stay sober. Had I stopped looking for a way to get sober I never would have found SMART. I did a lot of meaningless things in my addiction, I was going to let my recovery program be one of them.
