How to have a really bad day...

  • Compare yourself to others
  • Judge yourself
  • Judge others
  • Think in absolutes
  • Make every misfortune a catastrophe
  • Worry about problems you don't have
  • Refuse to face reality; live in fantasy
  • Practice negative self-talk
  • Think that it is a crime to make a mistake
  • Believe that you are nobody unless you are perfect

I thought I'd share this since it's helped me a lot these past few days, I often catch myself doing most of the things on the list and in no way do they help my journey to stay sober. I didn't make up the list btw it's one of the resources I was given in my new staying sober plan yay!

Also wanted to share this based on The Beatles's song Revolution:

"If I really wanna be clean and sober. Well you know. It's gonna change my world. My drinking days are over. Well you know. It's gonna change my world.

There may be a part of me that still wants to drink. But I know I've got too much to lose. So you know I'm gonna be all right. I'm gonna win this fight. All right.

I'm gonna figure out a solution. Well you know. I'm gonna make a plan. It may take a revolution. Well you know. I"ll do everything I can."

Happy sober Tuesday everyone!
