Hello-
I just got back from my short stint in jail.
I wanted to submit this post as so many of you have been incredible with your support and well wishes.
A few times a situation allowed me to carry the message and maybe something I said or did helped another struggling alcoholic to connect the dots and they'll get the help they need.
The judge gave me a few extra items tacked on to my sentence, but hey, I deserved it all and I owe it to society and to myself to finish what I started.
I'm running on 0 hours of sleep, but looking forward to reading your posts and getting back in the swing of life and recovery.

It's been a real privilege to be a part of your journey, kjell... Thanx for including us and welcome back!!
It must be a relief to have this consequence done, the others will be done quicker than you think... time flies.

Welcome back to the free world. To me jail was a living hell on earth. I didn't realize how precious all the freedoms we have to enjoy before my 24 hours there. I can't imagine having to live there a handful of days. Now that part is over and you never have to be there again. Glad you are back with us!
Glad you're back Kjell......and even more glad that you've been able to find a positive way to look at what could have easily turned into a resentment, a source of self-pity, a source of anger, and so forth. You're a living testament to what happens when you diligently put your best effort into working the program of AA - you are HANDED a new attitude... a new set of tools......and a new set of glasses to view the world through. Frickin amazing isn't it folks?
Yer a stud Kjell.....I'm really REALLY proud of you.

Glad your back. Hope you got a cheeseburger and a shake, or that's what I got. Paying my dept and then being done with it is like no other feeling in sobriety. Hell, before I got sober I never finished anything. It always hung over me like a dark cloud. What a beautiful thing today is. Welcome back.
It's amazing really for us all regardless of where you're at in your sobriety. B/c if you're on here, reading or posting, well then you've at least got a start.
The problem was me the whole time. THE WHOLE TIME...what an amazing journey for all of us
