wow - ANOTHER day 1...

The point I was trying to make was that JUST getting connected with God isn't enough to keep me happy and sober nor was it for the first 100 who contributed to the AA Big Book. Don't get me wrong, it's a heck-uv-a start and a vital component but I, like the first 100, also need the "program of action" stuff. I need to be writing inventories, I need to be turning things over, I need to be constantly looking for selfishness and self-centeredness in my life, I need to be continually seeking ways to better my relationships with "you" because but getting to know you I get to know my HP, I need to be of service to others and I need to work with other drunks to help them get what they want of what I've got.... plus a whole ton of other stuff that's in that book and that I've found to work for me.
For those who have issues with the "AA = a religious program" belief, bear in mind, the HP connection is one small (albeit important) part of the whole puzzle. There's a WHOLE lot more to it.
