Question Sunday Sunday (groan)

Oh God I hate Sundays. especially in the Uk,
where every thing is shut. Missed the only meeting around as my car has broken down. Don't know what to do with myself today, and feel like a drink as the depression is back again. Help!

Can you call an AA friend and chat?

Do you have a project around the house you've been putting off that will give you some satisfaction to have done? (Clean out a closet, organize paperwork, etc.)

You can ride this out. Some days are just kinda blah. Do something that will make take your mind off being sorry for yourself. Wallowing in it makes it worse, trust me.

Sally,

Try and change your mindset. Be proud of yourself for getting through another day sober. Pick yourself up and go for a walk, get some exercise, anything to lift your spirits. Do something nice for yourself. When you think positive, positive things happen! Most of all DON'T DRINK. Have a friend over for lunch, or make a nice dinner. Plan something and follow through with it. You'll feel better after it is accomplished.

Happy Sunday to You! :ghug3

Thanks guys. Feeling better now. Contacted an Aa member, called friend who actually came over, which made me put some make-up on etc. So thanks again for helping me through a high risk moment x

Glad to hear it.

Those bad moments do pass, if we give them a chance.

Ahhh, Sally. My Sundays are my only "real" day off. What ever the weather, I do my morning walk. Feed the cats, clean the yard, vaccuum the house, dust, maybe watch Net Flix, play a few video games, just anything but drink. Now I'm off with a sober friend to an early dinner (brunch maybe?) at a local eaterie.

Glad you kept it together, one day at a time.
