Another scary story to keep you sober....

My best friend's uncle dies at 55 today......

He had hep-c.. cirrhosis... neuropathy from alcoholic diabetes.... Ok..

Moves in with a girl, she stole his pain meds, overdosed last week and died.. He couldn't move.. Went into a diabetic coma... They found him and her..Because the neighbors saw flies in the window.. Called the cops.. She was dead, he was in a coma, he died today.

Hardcore drinking... Until 5 years ago, he quit so he could get on the transplant list...

IRTQ - thank you for sharing that. I know it will help a lot of people stay sober this weekend (including me). We hear about those kind of stories and think it can never happen to us, yet we've all seen what alcohol and drugs have done in our own lives. It's very sobering (pun intended).

Prayers going out to everyone who loved these people.....

Im....

What a tragedy. How scary to think that if we stay in our addictions... this could easily be one of us. I hope their families can find some kind of peace. My heart goes out to them.... and to you.

But for the grace of God...

It's tragic, indeed, that people will pursue drugs and alcohol into death.

May their friends and family be comforted.

What a tragic story. I'm so sorry for the families, and people who were affected by this sad event.
