getting bored of being sober

Foghead....I can relate. Being bored and not finding enjoyment nor excitement was one of my major hurdles. All I can say is that is has gotten much better. Not an "AHA!" moment but slowly found myself finding meaning, peace, and joy in daily activities. I am also now finding new interests and can consider new things that simply weren't possible before getting sober.
For me, there is just something good and natural about accepting life on life's terms and LIVING it. Before getting sober, I was not living. I picture myself as a knocked-down boxer laying blissfully dazed on the canvas, not yet even hearing the referee counting me out. That wasn't living and my life was slowly bleeding out. At least now I am able to see Life for what it is. There is peace in that for me even if it doesn't always feel quite right.
