After drinking 1/3 to a 1/2 of a 1.75l vodka bottle a night I have made it to day 6. This is the first time I can say I feel somewhat normal. My splitting head ache, night sweats, and night time fever is gone. I do not feel tired so far today. But today is early yet.

I miss being sober and remembering what happened the night before. So far I like it and hope to stay sober.
Drinking used to be fun. As of the last year or two drinking turned into something I had to do to live and feel normal. I feared detoxing because I have failed numerous times due to the pain of detoxing. This time I hope I do not turn back. I am taking it hour by hour day by day. No hopes or expectations. Telling myself I am never drinking again only makes me want it more. Telling myself maybe later makes me okay with it. Because I know I can have it if I want it anytime.

This website has helped me.. I know I am not alone.

everyone has there own way and do what works for you. Its a hard road and im going through it too so your not alone. tomorrow will be day 7 and thats your goal for today. gd lck

Day seven for me today!! I am wondering if my eyes will ever turn white again? They are still beyond blood shot like I am still drinking? How long before your eyes turned white?
