Very cute kittens. When they're so little, everything they do is cute!

And, blackstrat, I love the dogs playing in the snow. I have never in my life experienced snow like that. Beautiful!

I'm actually more of a dog man myself. They are more affectionate and loyal than most cats (mine included) are. I had a full blood Boxer for about 5 years until someone decided they wanted it more than me . Next time I'm thinking about an American Bulldog.

Texas, he's beautiful.

When AD moved back home, she brought her boiz back with her. I don't think we realized how much we missed having them until she came back with them. One of them is such a chill, cuddly kitty that you can't help but reach out and pick him up.

I do believe that pets are therapeutic. For the most part, they love us unconditionally. They make us laugh, and give us a shoulder to cry on. They never judge us. If we love and take care of them, they will love and take care of us.

I have 2 cats - they are awesome! I miss them. I'm on the road now.

When I drink I either lie around a lot or disappear for days at a time. They like it when I lie around, although I don't feed them regularly or clean their litter. They get panicked when I take off for a few days.

I got a puppy a few years ago, and gave it away after 3 weeks because I couldn't handle the work.

I think that when I stay sober for a while, I'll treat my pets better. I feel like a jerk.

My youngest son worked and worked his mom to get another dog. (It has been about five years.) Finally she said yes but with conditions: She did not want a puppy, and she did not want a big dog.

A few days later I came home from the office to find an 8 week old Great Dane/rotweiler sitting on my couch. A year and a half later, he is a wonderful companion, but now we definitely need a bigger couch.

I have two beautiful dogs, one very old boy and one pretty young lady..... They feel when I feel, and sometimes it amazes me how little credit people give to dogs intelligence.. Also a huge cat fan, and I'm just so into Simon's Cat, and his brand new 'In the box'

I know what you mean. My dog thinks she's a person. We haven't told her yet that she isn't.

I said this in a meeting the other night without thinking," if you want to know how the steps are working in my life, just ask my dogs". I had so many regrets about the dogs I had prior to sobriety, they were very prominant in my 4th and 5th steps. Without the steps I would have had no way to deal with such deep bad feelings. I wasn't physically mean to my dogs, I just wasn't there and I'm sure they suffered. Today I love my two dogs to death and more than once they were responsible for me not picking up and drinking. Tough subject, but if anyone is hurting the way I did about my dogs, I found peace in working the steps and doing a living ammends with them every day. Just ask them. God Bless
