Good for you Discovering! Don't be scared, never heard of anyone getting bitten at an AA meeting (well except by the AA bug...)

Listen and be strong!

Good for you! It's OK to be a little scared and nervous, but I would be sure to let people know that you're new, so you can get some phone numbers and start making some sober friends. That network is important!

I'm proud of you--this can be the beginning of a whole new life.

Hey!!! whether you like it or not (the meeting), congratulations on the increased level of willingness to do stuff you don't really want to do for victory over this crappy disease.

Excited about the meeting?

Scared about letting your husband go to Bestbuy for an hour?

Thats very normal. Good luck.

Oh, DM,

I'm excited for you! How nice that you saw a friendly familiar face the first meeting! Now, I suggest you jump in, with both feet! Lots and LOTS of meetings--get busy, get well!
