There are 2 AA groups in Dallas....both have several
daily meetings.
Paulding Co. AA is my home group.
Dallas Group is the other I know those members too
We both do strong solution based recovery....

Congratulations on your decision. Best thing you will ever do in your life!
Wow, falling into Carol's lap, so to speak.... you must have a guardian angel looking after you! That is just pure luck to be an alcoholic and live in Carol's neck of the woods!
The best suggestion I have is to take advantage of everything SR has to offer. So much to learn here from others. Kept me sober!
Be strong and take advantage of Carol's wisdom!

Glad you checked back in....
Today at 10 a.m. the Dallas Group serves breakfast
then a meeting. Address is 251-B W. Memorial Drive
It's across the street from a liquor store
underneath a second hand store...next to Gas station.
Gray painted building...park in back. Dooris down steps.
Walk in and say "Carol D sent me".....
Ask for Dave G. I told him you might be useing that group.
Sunday they meet at 10 am-noon weekdays.
I'm not sure of the night meeting times.

building with large deck on 2nd. floor. Park on side
with basketball hoop. Meets today at noon.
at 7 is a meeting for Newcomers.
Sorry...I have committments at noon ...won't be at
either AA meeting. I plan to be at Paulding Co.
Group at 11 a.m. on Sunday that's our meeting time.
Noon all other days...night meetings have several start times.
As you have a few days free ...it's a great time
to check us out. Other than today at noon....
call me and I can get a ride to join you
in either group.
At 74....I have no job and no car!
I do have a phone ...so do call...24/7 is ok.

I want to second LifeIs suggestion about staying with us on SR.
It's a good place to find support and information.
Why not start a thread of introduction?
By letting us know what's happening in your life
you will get replies from many of us who are
winning over alcohol.
Our members are here 24/7....some one will reply.

thank you for all the information. I will start an introdution thread just a little later today! I didn't read you last message until just now so i didn't make it to a meeting today. I am glad i found this forum.. Thanks Carol!
