25, pain in throat, excessively drinking hard liqour for only year 1/2
Hi..im new here and came across this site earlier this week
i'm 25 and am planning on making a doctors appointment next week because of a pain in my throat that has come up recently. I've been drinking hard liquor, mostly whiskey or brandy straight and have done so 5 times a week for the past year..(usually a quarter of a pint to half a pint)
I'm really not sure what to make of it..i wouldn't think its possible to develop throat cancer within just a year of drinking but I have been drinking almost daily for a full year now. I have a family history of alcoholism and I am also half native american.
i used to smoke but i quit smoking almost a year ago.
i would just like to hear thoughts mainly on my sore throat problems

we're not allowed to give medical advise here.
i'm not a doctor, but i could think of 10 other things it could be off of the top of my head other than the big C.
go see your doctor, and the only advise i will give is maybe this is a wake up call for you to stop drinking.

Alcohol damages your brain and body..it a toxin.
That's true for all drinkers...not only alcoholics.
Good to know you will be seeing a doctor.
Please be honest about your drinking to assist
with a proper treatment...
BTW...I developed lung cancer in the span of 2 months.
It was easier to remove because it was new.
Please take action quickly.
