recovery's so far away
 

Wow, I feel strangely away from my recovery... combined with the busy weekend, and a crazy schedule, I've been waking up too late for my noon meetings and it's been hard getting together with my sponsor. I really miss working it! I mean, I read my BB daily, I have begun prayer, and really taking a hard look at myself. But- a few days away from my lifelines is no fun!

Looks like Monday I'll be able to get to both meeting and sponsor... but that feels like forever away. Glad you guys are here!

I do make a point of doing 3 or 4 weekly meetings
Keeps me in recovery balance.

Well your doing the right thing by coming on here to SR-when you are in a tough spot we are always here, I know everyone here has been there for me.

Hang in there I know some days can be tougher than others. This summer I have been away from where I live and on the East Coast working a summer internship back with a LOT of old haunts and challenges. I was away from my meeting group, new sober freinds and just where I felt safe and comfortable. I have also been limited in how much I can go online to SR and that has been really hard to get through. I spent a lot more time in the BB and reading more about alcolism and tried to backfill what I was missing. It was still tough. Just hang in there and think on the positive side. I love the phrase "A bad day sober is 100 times better than my best day when I was drinking".
