The Liquor Store

If I had 7 dollars right now I would by default go get myself a bottle of cheap hard liquor right this moment. But I only have one dollar and it is too early for panhandling in the streets.

And once you do have the money?

Guess you changed your mind about the sobriety thing.. I did that a ton too.

What are you needing assistance with today, Deckard?

At that point, it's pretty tough when only circumstances prevent your normal course of action... Do you want to quit?

There's an immense amount of help available here, and other places, if you want it, Deckard.

Noone has to live worrying that they haven't got enough money to get wasted.

This board is full of folks who've been there, left that behind, and want to help you.

What do you want?

Ask yourself why you don't have $7.00
I bet alcohol comes into the equation somewhere.
Suit yourself though.

Thank you for reminding me how horrible it was.
Maybe I can remind you how great sobriety can be?
Best.

Or...you can do something different. Anything or everything and change your life.

Gotta take that first step. What are you going to do today to stay sober?

Deckard97, I have to say that sounds pretty pathetic. I've felt that way before. Minus the panhandling, but still, been there. Like everyone said..you have to be real with yourself. Imagine being someone else and reading what you posted. What would you think? I'm not sure if you want to try and get sober or what. Getting drunk might make you feel better for a little while but when the smoke clears, you still have the same problems you had before. Only now it's a day later. Anyway, I have my own sobriety to think about so reagardless of which you decide to choose...Good luck.
