I figure I have saved well over thirty one hundred dollars since I quit drinking.
That is very conservative,but thats the "at least " number.
I have been sober 446 days. I used to buy a 12 pack of miller light every day, which was on average 10 dollars a 12 pack. Now I buy a diet Dr pepper and a bag of chips , which is 3 bucks. So 446x7 is 3,122 dollars. That doesn't count the stupid things i used to buy while drinking or other stupid things. Like the race I wen't to the other night where beers were 7 bucks a pop. (I bought a Coke and hotdog for 4 bucks)
I don't know why I thought of this, but it does add up over time.

It sure does!!! I've noticed I still have money in my account by the end of the week....wouldn't have happened before!!

LOL I drank in bars and my bar tab was easily $60 a day. If I drank 300 days a year (I'm sure it was more than that) then this translates to $18,000 per year, at a minimum.

If I sobered up 10 years ago my house would be paid off.

Before I put it all down I could only guess what I was spending and deliberately avoided actually crunching the numbers per month.

Last weekend I went through my expenses month by month to see what I was spending and WOW

Booze + weed = $1,100 per month on average.

Today = $0.00
