Well when you think about it they are drug PUSHERS, i.e. they are advertising the drug to make you want to buy it. Same with cigarettes (although here in Ireland cig advertising is banned). So you can hardly expect morals to come into the equation.
They're the pushers, we're the users, and the government is the middle man who takes a cut.
Beer is a drug just like any other. I've tried lots of drugs in my life time and would certainly stick beer up there with the hard drugs for it's ability to make a normal person turn into the fukkin devil.
But yeah, most people are fine with alcohol and I certainly wouldn't be for banning it just because *I* can't control myself.
Bill Maher was quite funny when describing the new beer ads. Went something along the lines of:
"You gotta miss the old school beer ads, the premise was simple..if you drank this beer, really hot supermodels would wanna **** you. Now they're all about the beer. I mean, the guy can have the model, but he just wants the beer..."
