I am sober! Letting my ex get under my skin but I prayed, called my sponsor and did what he told me to do (step 10).

This is how I stay sober...and get over stuff...and enjoy life!

Right now: 90% serene, 10% p**sed off! lol

I just cut people out of my life who "get under my skin". I don't have time for their bs. There are exceptions. Long time friends and family get as many chances as they need. An ex I could see trying to keep the relationship kosher, especially if kids are involved.

People I haven't known that long who come across as just in it for themselves in our interactions: gone. No return calls. No nothing.

Its not my problem if someones social skills are so below par they approach rude. I'm a 100x better friend today, because I did have people cut me out of their lives when I wasn't much of a friend. Today I can honestly say I know how to be a friend. Glad to hear you didn't drink over it.

Kids are involved...little ones...joint custody . Gotta do what I gotta do. The right thing! I feel much better this morning, day off work today, lots of fun things planned for the weekend.

Ya know, if I didn't quit drinking 2 1/2 years ago, I would even have joint custody of my beautiful, awesome little kids. I am a sober, responsible, loving Dad! One of the biggest gifts of sobriety for sure. This is what AA and the Creator does for me!
