He is really rough, he was throwing up blood earlier. He told me to take a video of him telling me not to drink anymore. I asked if I could share it, he said please do..
If you look at my last thread I started called saw an old friend...and vomitted..tells the story.. he's still drinking all day everyday. He said he's really scared and is throwing up blood 3 to 5 times a day. He won't goto the hospital and says he's ready to die.
Its hard to tell by my cheap cell phone camera.. But he's very yellow.. Eyes as well.. We were talking a few minutes ago before I left and he was emphatic that I learn from his mistakes.. I maybe should have posted this in a blog.. I'll do updates on him tho..
Tough
Its tough. A person looses and another gains. Its hard to look at it that way for some. But thats the reality of for some. Lost some very close relative and friends that way. Its seems when one is at that stage, no matter what you say - they will do the opposit.
Ugh, sorry about your friend. How truly sad. Addictions suck, i battle it everyday.
Here's a letter written by a dying alcoholic to children, to learn from his mistakes.
Michael Clarke, the Byrds drummer, died at 47 from alcohol disease.
Attached is his letter, very description, and his picture hours before his death. Hideous.

That is a really powerful letter from M.C. One of my first thoughts was: "how did he let himself get to that point?"
But alcohol is such a seductive drug. It can rob you of years of your life in what seems -- in hindsight -- like the blink of an eye.
Thank you for sharing the video also.

Please let him know that it is being passed around to others who may need to see it, as I am passing it on to some alcoholic family members.
Thanks for sharing, the really sad thing is that for the overwhelming majority of active addicts/alcoholics-jmo, and my own experience-is that this sort of cautionary tale will have zero effect.
But for the rest of us, stands as a stark reminder of 'there but for the grace of God'.

I know for this alcoholic, the fear of dying a horrible death like that is one of the reasons I sought recovery.
Update on my friend..
Today, I asked him if he was still coughing up blood, he said I little, I told him that it was probably esophageal varices, and that if he didn't go to the ER immediatly or very soon, most likely it will burst and he will choke to death on his own blood.
He looked back and said, I'm ready to go.. I pleaded with him some more, and then he started crying and told me to leave him alone for the day.
