Starting My Third Week

And feeling pretty proud of myself. Havent done this in a long time. only 1 other time have I been sober this long in 14 years. Thursday and Friday nights are the toughest, but I'll Keep on pushin forward! Thanks for all your support! Yesterday was the first day I didnt think about the liquor store on the ride home.

Congrats brother!

I'm at week 6 and already the idea of alcohol at the weekend is fading. It just isn't coming into the equation as much.

Keep it up man and stay strong. Bookmark this post and remember how good you're feeling now that you have 3 weeks - imagine 3 years!

Congrats ! I find the weekends tough too, thank God the internet is a great distraction and I learn so much from reading here at SR...Keep up the fine work that inspires all of us , especially me !! Thanks !

Just remember, the weekends are just another day of the week. In the very beginning, I had to tell myself that a lot! After a while, you'll look forward to them again, but for all the right reasons.

honestly what is helping me keep going is not wanting to reset the "sober clock". Two weeks is a long time to start over again. It is almost like a competitiion to me. That mindset has been helping.

This is my first time on online meetings, but I read the guy who had three weeks and it reminded me of when I stood there. congratulations!!!
