The aftermath.....

Hi everyone...Hope all is well... I had a really really bad day yesterday...went to my lawyers and picked up my Particulars on my DUI charge...and couldn't believe some of the things that the arresting officer put in there...alot of B.S. I was so upset.....upset about that but also upset because of the damage I have created in my life from alcoholism.....I read the report and it made me sick...I was so sick back then..just 3 months ago...and it seems like a lifetime...I am grateful for being where I am today...and by the grace of God, I am 102 days sober and NEVER want to be that drunken fool again.....honestly the thought of booze makes me angry...I hate it so much...it is pure evil to me...

Happy sober Friday my SR friends...

Liz

I'm sure that was really difficult for you to read..and I'm glad you're still sober

See, now you are living your life in a way that guarantees you will never face a similar situation again!

Alcohol brought me a lot of grief too.
We should haved done something about it before bad things happened.
But what has happened, has happened..
A lesson learned...

That was probably a good reminder of why you shouldn't drink anymore. Congrats on 102 days sober!!!

You're 102 days sober that is amazing. You have been able to pick yourself up and move on to a much better place in your life.

It seems to me like you're still angry at yourself. I think you need to cut yourself some slack. Never let yourself forget what booze does to you and how much better of you are without it... but at the same time let yourself see that you're in a much much better place and don't beat yourself up for mistakes you've made. You've learned from them. And that's what really matters.

Liz,

You never have to go back there.

You're doing great, and I wish you well as you manoeuver through the legal issues.

Congratulations

on 102 days sober. I know things look tough right now but you are in a much better place to deal with them than you would be had you been drinking.

So what's the prognosis with your DUI?

I'm just back to driving myself after my dui three years ago, I understand how stressing and emotionally draining it is. Glad your handling it sober, you'll get through it, take care
