6 day detox
Have not been on here in awhile since I have been binging off and on the last 26 days. Wife and kids left for Nebraska leaving me alone in Maine for a month. Really thought that I would be able to handle it. I did learn something from the whole thing. Thats is that I let all the barriers that I put up that keep me from drinking fall away one by one until I was there again.
I checked myself in last wed. after 4 days of binging. First two days was okay as I was mostly sleeping. Come friday afternoon I wanted the hell out of there. I guess the best thing that happened is they would'nt let me, as I was in a locked unit due to my mental illness. Saturday I broke down, and on Sunday I came to the realize that all that is really required of me is to just breathe. I guess I forgot the most important tool I had to stay sober. Now its monday and I'm off to AA. Good to be back. Thanks everyone.
