Saying Hi to all...6 Month's Sober April 5th
Wow! Time has flown and can't believe it will be month 6 tomorrow. I have not been on here since January and I apologize to all that helped me thru the hellish first month of Sobriety and continued prayer and helpful advice. I want to say thanks to all that gave me the support and courage I needed during that time. Many of you remember my last drink was one day before my October 5th B-Day and have not had a craving since then. I will say it was the hardest and darkest days of my life and I'm not even close to being 100%. The brain fog is still pretty thick, but slowly lifting, and the anxiety is way better. I may not ever get back to 100%,but it's better than drinking and going no where in life. Many of you know that I had to give up my job to save myself and family. Today I am working for a Nation wide company and it's a new career field for me,so your prayers and well wishes are still very much welcome. In closing, I want to thank all the SR Family, friends and staff for all the support that ya'll could give me during that dark time in my life! God Bless each and everyone of you and I promise to visit back more often. For all that are going thru the same steps I went thru,my prayers are with you. It's not easy, but together we can do it!!!!!
Take care,
Ronnie

Yea 6 months is a milestone, Great and stay with it.
Same as me -- to be sober was more important than my buisness and it suffered for nearly a year -- I would have sacrificed my buisness to be sober. (I let all my clients know what I was going thru) You know what? -- they all supported me and are still with me 6 years later

Yes, I felt I needed to come back and share the good news just like so many do on here. Not for bragging rights, but it helps everyone to be motivated and confident that they can give up drinking. I still need the encouragement just like everyone else. To be reminded that whether it's been six days or weeks or years, everybody needs to hear on here that there are many great stories of people overcoming drinking and not always just the sad I can't do it drama stories. Not that those need to be neglected on here, but Everyone needs to post the good news of sobriety for those that are just starting or have been fighting the tough battle of giving up the booze. It helped me,and thats why I will continue to come back and be of any help I can,as much as I can.
Thanks again Everyone!
