20 Days
20 Days
Tomorrow marks twenty days for me, I think back about the days I was still drinking at it is surreal. It seems so long ago and at the same time just yesterday. The nicest thing? Not having to think about how many beers I have in the closet and when out shopping always thinking about how I need to stop to buy more. I always felt guilty having to tell my wife I needed to stop for more beer. No more feeling awkward going to the fridge for another beer or at a friends house asking for another when everyone else stopped.
No longer a slave to the habit, no more hating myself in the morning and feverishly taking all my supplements like Milk Thistle in a vain attempt to protect myself from the damage I was doing to my body. All for what? Because I felt the stupid need to imbibe Alcohol.
No More.
Newcomers, have strength. You can do it too.
To a wonderful and sober 2010 for everyone on this board and to all those in the daily struggle with Alcoholism.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. By the way, I think I am developing a new habit of popping Hall's Vitamin C Drops. LOL, always something to hook onto haha. Not too many just joking, three or four a night when I get fidgety.
Ever think that drinking is a bit like OCD? Or any habit for that matter? Thats why I think it is always a good idea to try and implement good habits to replace the bad. No habits at all would likely drive most of us over the edge. Problem is, most good habits are no fun and anything becomes bad in excess.
Let's all exercise moderation yeah, as I utilize a C drop lol.
