Damn, I wanted to drink very badly, this past weekend.

I started having those thoughts of the good times & almost went to the liquor store.

Fortunately, I stayed home.

A wise decision. That's how we do it, one day at a time. When I look back on those good times, most of them really weren't all that great, and sometimes they were a nightmare.

My worst day sober is still way better than my best day drinking.

I'm glad you did not drink....

Have you considered hanging out with others who are
winning over alcohol? I found many of them in AA.

Just this morning ....an AA friend dropped by for a visit
and we ran a few errands together. Brought back a
Pizza.....addressed her Christmas cards and mailed them.

There is more to life than quitting drinking....
Please don't short change yourself ...find those friends.

I'm not much of an extrovert. I do most of my socializing, online...

Most of my friends are 80 miles away.

It's cool. I'm not really looking to go out & stuff. I just had one of those times where it felt like it would be fun again.
