Thumbs up I started a blog

Today, I got inspired to start a sober living blog. I have to make a salad for my AA group's Christmas party, and was trying to find some suitable salad dressing. I never knew finding salad dressing for a bunch of alcoholics could be such an issue! It had to have no red wine vinegar, and be low in sugar.
Finally found a ginger-pear dressing.

So anyhoo, my blog will contain tips, advice, and general musings on sober living in mind, body, and spirit. Since you all know I'm in early recovery myself, it is stuff I'm figuring out on my own, and I just want to pass it along.

Check it out There's only two postings so far though.
Please PM me for the Blog link.

Hmm...about the AA salad
You might want to make a platter of
raw veggies with a center of dip. You can buy
them in most markets if peeling is not your thing..

Jello based salads are always popular too.

Best of luck with the Blog....

Hey WakeUp! Glad to see you started a blog! I have been contemplating starting one and actually have been reading a lot on how to start, maintain, etc. a blog. I plan on having a blog encouraging active people to live healthy lifestyles through mind, body and soul. It will hopefully be an inspiring blog for myself and others. If you could, PM me a link to your blog!

Just out of curiousity, does red wine vinegar contain alcohol?

What does the panel of experts say, are vinegars made from wine a no-no?

Ginger-Pear Dressing.... wow.
That sounds INCREDIBLE!!!
Made me hungry.

for me,
vinegars made with wine *are* off limits.
so are
flower remedies
and tincture 'remedies'.

I was trained in the making of essences
and they use vodka
as the base.

100% of the people I knew
when I was doing that stuff
who had a drinkingproblem
who used the remedies and tinctures
went back to drinking.

so you may want to stay away from them as well.

I know now,
some of the mfg.'s
are putting out
remedies made with distilled water.

And don't forget the MUSTARD!!!!
Several mustards
are made with wine as well.

just be careful and read labels.
