Well, day after Thanksgiving I got stinking drunk and don't remember much. Last night I did the same thing. I can't seem to stop drinking even though I'm putting myself in harms way. My wife is fed up with it I know. My kids are probably scared. This is the first place I've tried to get support. My life story is too long to type here. I guess i just need to interact with someone who understands this addiction.

...and I'm recently unemployed. Been a month and a half now and I'm not getting unemployment. Funds are tight. I have an interview with EDD on Thursday. Hopefully then I'll start getting some financial support.

It's boring to me. The only excitement I had was drinking with some of the people after meetings. I thought there was too much hypocrisy there. No offense to anybody here. It's just my perspective.

I know I need help. Something inside wants me to keep fighting that idea. Sobriety scares me to death. I guess I don't mind if nobody replies here. It helps just to write stuff down. I feel like a stranger in my own house lately. After my wife told me how bad I was the other night I told her I'd kill myself and that would be my apology. I can't do that to my kids though. They deserve a dad.

Seems like 90% of my drinking is controlled. It's the 10% that isn't. If I could just get rid of that 10%, I'd be alright. I've been taking sleep aids lately. I don't want to pass out into sleep anymore so I thought I'd try these. Seems to have a negative affect on my personality. I'm usually never in a bad mood when I drink. The pills seem to put me in a bad mood the next day. This leads to drinking more at night.

They said she was just trying to keep me out of trouble by being publicly intoxicated. They did go in and try and retrieve my wallet and keys. Then they drove me to a hotel cause that's where I said I was going. Couldn't do anything there because I had no funds. I ended up going to a bowling alley and using a debit card from an adjacent account to my main and that worked. I bowled a game with a few guys, had a few drinks and then went to a bar/restaurant. Had a few more drinks, called a cab at closing and went home. When I told they cab driver I didn't have any funds except for the debit card he said pay him next time. My wife opened the door and said, "What are YOU doing here?" Nice, huh?
Edit. I still don't have my wallet.
