This is my first time here after being told about SR by my girlfriend.
I have been drinking since I was 12, been thru every rehab system since I was 24, and at 62 am still drinking. I am drunk right now, but in about 2 days will be able to get my brain together and post some more.
looking for help and if I can help someone else, I will.
Thanks

Fred,
Ever try the spiritual solution offerred by the program of AA? It worked for me after playing the anti-depressants, counseling, treatment, rehab games for a few years. It worked beyond my wildest dreams and changed my life in ways I can hardly believe.
Having been around AA for a while now, I believe that it can work for anyone that fully gives themselves to it. With no exceptions I can think of, those that take the 12 steps as outlined in the Big Book recover.

Welcome Fred. Glad you are making the decision to make a change in your life. It is never too late.
I agree with Keith, if you have tried everything else, perhaps give a spiritual program a try. I'm not religious at all, but the AA program worked great for me. Welcome!
