WOW- I do not want to end up like that
Just found out my elderly GRANDMOTHER fell while drunk and broke her already fragile newly replaced knee. She sat in the same place all damn day with my Alcoholic uncle giving her drinks when she complained of pain.
Now she'll be in the hospital for weeks on end including Thanksgiving.
Now if ending up like her doesn't convince me to stop drinking.. I don't know what will.
I feel really humbled right now.

Alcohol has humbled me tremendously. I feel like I am a better person when I am humble.
I never made too much progress in my efforts to cut back or eliminate alcohol until I was humbled to the core.
AA helps me remember to stay humble and looking for help outside of myself.
Thanks for the post!
