I didnt care how it tasted, just got it into me, especially first thing in the morning, had to gag the first few down and then was fine.
Thankfully those days are gone.

If I'd not been drinking for a while, I'd really like red wine or a cask ale and savour it but once I started on a bender I'd have to start the day with a sweet cider like Kopparberg (being in a bottle this helped with the shakes to begin with too) just to settle my stomach, then I was ready for anything.
