sponcee to sponsor" whats wrong with me going to bars? (sponsor) if you go into a hairdressers enough eventually you'll get a hair cut !! (sponcee) yeah, but every now and then you need to get your hair cut. (sponsor) not when your trying to grow your hair you dont !!.

(sponcee) what am i doing wrong ? (sponsor) everything !!.

What she went onto say was that she would teach me how to deal with them all

When my sponsor got his 30 year A.A. token, he said to me "You want one of these? Here's what you do. Don't drink and don't die."

Much more often, he says "Keep coming back and we will teach you a better way to live." And he, along with a bunch of other people, have done just that.

I met my sponsor on my first day of sobriety.

Near the end of my rambling, I told him "The only reason I still have my wife and job is because I'm a really nice guy".

He responded "Well...I don't think you're a very nice guy".

Keep in mind that I was only a few hours sober - let the ego deflation begin!

My usual convo will start with me stating that i believe in x and i don't care what anyone thinks this is what i believe...then 5 minutes later believeing whatever the hell my sponsor has told me and doing it...i've learned to be very open minded and willing!

He is quite keen on...if you want my help and are willing to do what i say then you can stay sober and have a good life, if not then **** off down to the bar, i'll even give you the money for your first drink...although he doesn't say that about me so much anymore:-)

He's a real little gift from God and i love him to bits!

Ah I am permanently indebted to my sponsor. In the first month especially he talked me down from the cliff of relapse many times. I am so grateful for all he has done for me. Yeah you gotta love good sponsors.
