) is secondary as to how your doing.
How much more proof do you need? I can't condemn you because I did the same thing. I KNEW I couldn't keep drinking but went out and had to prove it to myself time and time again. The whole question is...now that you know drinking is causing these problems, are you ready to stop?

But you want to know what else is absolutely essential to sobriety? You have to want to do this deal, to submit to a few directions, and to take some action on it via the steps (if you're going to give A.A. a try) or whatever program you choose to go with.
Proof is great, but there are many dying alcoholics who cannot get this chance.

Then I remember being at another bar that I have been kicked out of on numerous occasions. I got punched in the face, not sure by who and then ended up in county jail for trespassing. From there I continued the drinking. I got cut off from their and a couple of other places. I drank until about 11 that night and then called my mother to come get me. The only good things I can say is I havent had any alcohol in about 46 hours, I am alive, and more proof that I can't drink successfully.

It was special for Johnny to do "Hurt" because it was right after his wife, June, died and he soon died after. It was one of his last recordings.......He also tore up Elvis Costello's "Own Personal Jesus". and guys I havent had a drink in about 96 hours and I got my FINAL white chip last night.

BTW I like Johnny Cash, I was just thinking that maybe showing him in his early defiance stage with his middle finger out may not have been the best pic for acceptance & recovery. But hey if its working ....

Good morning to all.....Haha not sure if this thread is about Johnny Cash are me being sober. Its cool though, JC is a good inspiration. He had talent, fame, fortune, and still had demons, but he never gave up and thats what my avatar means to me. It says screw you to everyone and everything thats trying to keep you down. I believe that picture was taken while doing a free show for prisoners in Folsom Prison.
On the other, it feels good to wake up sober. The whole sleeping thing is weird though. I keep having dreams about using. I'll just take awhile. So, I am off to the gym, school, and then a meeting. And I am not going to drink today.
