Mr. Tib Another Detox

Well folks it seems that I'm at it again. I'm drinking a liter of Vodka and beers daily. I can't function without it. My problem is that I'm blacking out after like only 3-4 beers. Has this ever happened to anyone? My BAC in the hospital the other night was .34! My doctors answer to this was to increase my Klonopin! I don't know if I'm okay with this. AA "friends" won't give me rides to meetings anymore either. They say I'm too toxic. As much as I hate certain AA folks I must say that I hate myself more. I told the doctors that I NEED Ativan for withdrawal but they don't listen and give me Librium. I know what works best for me. These doctors don't know anything about withdrawal. Anyways good to visit SR and my people here.

Always good to see you reaching out for support Tib. So how is "your way" working for you? Are you done yet? We'll be here when you're ready, in the meantime I'll continue to keep you in my prayers.

I know what works best for me.
I really don't think you do, Tib.
I wish you luck, mate.

Do you care if you die Tib? I'm just interested because for me i did not, i kept on waking up! Do you know why you are doing this to yourself and pushing everyone away that could possibly be of assistance to you, e.g. AA...what's the end game here?

Man i so wish you get a break Tib!

Please get to another AA group and get serious about staying sober. No matter how many ways you say you're different to recovery... you are not.

Thanks for reminding me of my own attitude problem I had to overcome before I got desparate enough to do the work necessary to get sober. I had to leave that kind of thinking behind if I was ever going to get better.

Once again....
I strongly suggest you get back to the mental hospital
They will then medically de tox you and likey try
to regulate your meds.

A long stay will be better for yoou than another ER visit.
IMO

'I told the doctors that I NEED Ativan for withdrawal but they don't listen and give me Librium.'

Thats because doctors aren't a sweet shop to pick and choose ones medications. If im attending a car crash (like I have on many many occasions) its ME who decides what medication to administer NOT the civilian. Ive had people begging me for diamorphine when they didn't need it. Doctors and hospitals are not a one stop shop for drugs.

Librium really helped me out alot, maybe your not taking enough of it, when I went to the ER the doctor gave me 2 to start then another 2 6 hours later then he said I could take up to 4 at night and these were 25mg strength. I did end up taking the 4 at night and it just knocked me right to sleep and got a great 12 hour sleep.I was on it for a few days and eventually got off it. Now I'm just taking cymbalta and trazadone. Ask your doctor maybe you need a higher dosage.

Tib -- sounds like your liver is shot if you are blacking out so early. How long have you been drinking like this?

Just curious, because I drank a little over a liter a day of vodka for years, but it always took the whole bottle plus some wine before I would black out. And I blacked out every single night.

Man, I hope your liver recovers! Keep us posted, my friend.

Tib, I think you're playing American Roulette. That's when you put one bullet in the chamber and fire six times.

Am I alone in thinking that Tib is sitting back getting a good chuckle out of our responses?
