Overman...There is no doubt where the expression came from, it is still a judgement all the same.

According to who?

While I agree addressing one's issues in relationship to alcohol is paramount a dry drunk is simply a judgement.
I was called a dry drunk the other week because I have started to go to less AA meetings:wtf2

The term was originally used to describe some alcoholics who suffered from

Ok i know what it means to have been a dry drunk, i know lot's of people who are dry drunks...is there a better name for it we can start here for someone who just puts down the bottle without identifying and taking action on the inbalances in themself that caused them to drink in the first place?

Any suggestions?

How about 'one who puts down the bottle without identifying and taking action on the inbalances in themself that caused them to drink in the first place' or we could shorten it...hmmm...what about dry drunk?

Yeahgr...Maybe you know a lot of people who are dry drunks because you choose to judge them that way.
