Blacked Out.

How did I get home, where are my keys, where did I park my car, how much money did I spend?

I can't believe I did it again, I can't remember nothing just quick flashes but I feel like I did something bad, why does my body hurt, where did I get these scrapes from, where is my phone, I need to check my bank account to see how much money I spend.

Last I remember is hanging out at the bar with my girl and some friends, I hope I did not get into a argument or send any one to hell while in my black out condition. I can't beleive I drank so much, wow! what a head ache...

Where do I start re-tracing my steps, why do I have blood on my hands?

I feel like crap, I can't remember what I did, I am so embarrassed and feel this guilt but can't not pin point the exact cause of it, Wow! where are my keys

Hi and welcome jrome

I used to hate blackouts too - I don't miss them at all.
I hope you can use this as a turning point and leave the blackouts behind forever

I remember how horrible blackouts felt.

Just know that you never have to go through this again.

jrome14...
I too was a blackout drinker for years. I got in all sorts of dangerous
places/situations ..sometimes with injuries.
However...they did not prod me into quitting.

Hope you are wiser than I...blackouts are a red flag.
Plese stop drinking before more disasters occur.

Living without alcohol is really sooo much better...

Welcome! Been there! Bank accct, lost credit cards, weird phone numbers on phone and that terrible, sinking feeling that you did something bad that you cant even remember.
Beating around the bush a few days later to the people you were with to find out exactly what did happen then fake laughing it off-all the while feeling like a complete failure!
Welcome! Glad you are safe, get healthy my friend

God willing, but what if you kill yourself in a auto accident?....or kill someone else?...your life as you know it and your freedom will be gone forever. That is quite the steep price for drinking.

That is why we are all in recovery, trying to prevent these potential disasters from occurring..
Once you know you need help with your condition you can more openly accept and receive help!
