How long for trust to return?

Echoing sentiments from others: you didn't lose people's trust in a day and it is not going to take a day for you to regain that trust.
Really, all you can do is clean your side of street and over time you can show people you have really changed. Until then all you can do is work on yourself.

Katie, I hope this 'person' you are referring to is not the same person that you can only reach during the work day. You don't need that.
I think it took about a year for my daughter to really have trust and faith in me again after I quit drinking, I know it was that long before she let me babysit my grandson.
