Welcome Slater, I do can relate to your story. My totally lost decade was my 40s (20s and 30 were only slightly lost....) and I drank alone, wine was my constant companion. The older I got the worse the night terrors and hangovers. Things I may have done when I was younger and drunk may have been "cute" or forgiven because I was young; there is nothing cute nor forgivable about a 40 something falling on their butt on a regular basis..
You know the drinking is killing you, even your dreams are telling you so. You will be a better person.
