first step is done.

went to 2 AA meetings today. got some phone numbers, got some things off my chest, and i think i can actually maybe do this and get myself cleaned up. cant' very well deal with all the cruddy stuff in my life while drunk, now, can i? i'll be sure to keep updating and seeing what works for other folks, thanks for being there for the newbie. haven't felt anything remotely like optimism in some time now, so this emotion i have going on is niiiice. now, here's hoping marriage counseling gets off to such a smashing start...

That is awesome! I am on day 11, have been to 4 AA meetings since Sunday, got tons of numbers, been approached to be sponsored...I have never felt so optimistic also and feel like I can finally take care of this problem. I look forward to seeing your progress!
