Partial hospitalization--"Synergy" program
I was wondering if anyone has gone to a partial hospitalization/day treatment rehab to get sober? There is one in my area that is called a "synergy" program, and I don't really know what that means. Any information or experiences would be very helpful.
This is actually for AH, although I have my own alcohol problem. He is scared to detox by himself because he drinks more than a pint of vodka per day and has for several years. He doesn't have private insurance for an inpatient rehab, but he has insurance through the state that might pay for this.
BTW...I have four days sober now and am grateful and happy

He should be evaluated by a Doctor to see if an inpatient detox is necessary, I assume that's what you mean by partial hospitalization. They would likely detox him in a hospital setting then use the outpatient for rehab. I did what was called intensive outpatient treatment at one point in my history and it was good but you will only get out of it what you put into it.

I too think a doctor should be contacted
before any de tox measures are taken.
The Salvation Army has de tox centers
in many areas. They are free.
Good to know your moving forward in sobriety...
Blessings to both of you
