When starting a new AA meeting....it's my experience
that it takes about 3 months before it "clicks"

Please don't be discouraged...

Hang in there! That was often the case when we had NA in our small town. I took advantage of the time being there and read literature or tidied up the place.

My sponsor reminded me the important thing was I showed up, and stayed clean/sober another day!

Stick with it, DK. Keep going to the meetings...distribute more flyers...get the word out any way that you can.

Looks like another no show... the one AA meeting in this town only gets a handful of attendees at best. I must have been smokin' crack when I decided to do this...

I think you rock, too. I know it's disappointing and frustrating when you want to do something and it doesn't seem to work out, but I think you've just gotta hang in there and keep showing up. What if you weren't there and someone showed up? Even just one person? It'll take a while for word to get out and for people to remember. You're not losing anything by sitting there, right?
