Had a setback...

As I've been through this crazy (to say the least) 38 days I've progressively gotten better. The withdrawal symptoms are there everyday, but get a little better with each sunrise. Today was another one of those days up until about 3 pm and all hell broke loose. Anxiety, nausea all hit like a ton of bricks. They lasted all evening up until an hour or so ago. I took a zanax at about 7 so that may have helped. It usually knocks it out, but I tried to just tough through it. I may have waited until it was to far gone before taking it. Now I'm just layin here tired with a mild headache and looking forward to a better day tomorrow. After reading on here a bunch I see that this is pretty common. Good days then sometimes a suprise bad day will sneak up on ya. However, I'd take a hundred days like this than 1 day of the inital week of withdrawals. I'm in good spirits just worn out.

Just felt like sharing.

I'll get back to kicking this addictions a** again tomorrow.

I never knew these symptoms went much longer than like a week or so. I feel for you....I thought I used to drink a lot..and had hardly anything happen when I quit..but everyone is different. Good luck!

Hi maklay, just wanted to say..be careful with them zanax man. My doctor actually prescribed zanax to me about a year ago when I quit smoking and I found them REALLY easy to abuse and take too many man. So really glad to hear your 38 days sober (that's awesome) but be careful with the pills man, they can grab ya quickly as well.

Thanks for the tip... They started me out on 3 a day to control the withdrawals and anxiety attacks. I've got it cut down to 1 a day now. Can't wait until they are gone so I can be free of them as well.
