Hello NK, and welcome to SR. We've all been new to recovery at some point, on SR the Newcomers forum is a great place to read, learn, and post Newcomers to Recovery - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information Take the time to look around, and please keep reaching out for support. In time, that sadness can be replaced by the joy you'll find in sobriety.
I was also one of those people who tried to quit more times than I can count but it can be done.
What other kinds of support systems have you put into place? Have you been to any AA Meetings? For me, I don't think I could have made it 3 1/2 years clean and sober without the Fellowship and working the Steps.
Stick around, glad you found us!

Welcome. I'm a newcomer too (Day 4). This is a good place to be. Quitting isn't easy but I'm finding it easier this time with the help of these forums. When it gets tough or you can't sleep or whatever the bad moment come here and read and/or post. It helps.
