Mottled red face

I realise this isn't supposed to be a medical advice forum but anyway...I was wondering if anyone else has suffered from a mottled red face from their drinking. I've never had it before and literally woke up this morning to find it. Is it a symptom of liver disease? I'm also quite overweight at the moment. I'm wondering if a bad diet and the ongoing drinking issue might be contributing; is it reversible if I stop? NB it isn't the classic enlarged-capillaries you see on some long term heavy drinkers. It's just blotches on my skin.

Not really medical advice, but a tablespoon of hot salsa will also help with redness. Just a temporary cure. Something about capsacin and capillaries.
