Is this a treatment center you pay for?
Or is it the name of a recovery group.....
a non profit organization such as AA or LifeRing?
Where did you find this group?
Is this it?

Tipp I am not trying to be a smarty pants, but you will probably benefit from it more if you quit drinking. That being said, anything to do with sobriety can not hurt you, but from what you say you need to find a way to get sober first.
One of the most important steps is to see a doctor and be totally honest about your drinking, sometimes the only way to safely get sober is through a medical detox.

Hi Tripp,
I'm not familiar with that group or its policies, either, but I'd imagine you could go as long as you WANT to stop drinking. Of course you'd probably get more out of it if you actually stopped, but maybe going and listening to stuff about how to prevent relapses will help you find the motivation you need. Please let us know more about it!

The treatment center I used to go to had a requirement for its groups. A person under the influence would not be allowed in group but rather referred to staff for some brief one on one. Basically a person wanting to attend group needed to be clean for that day. The clinic used harm reduction along with complete abstinence as treatment modalities.
