First sober Christmas

Been away for a while, still pretty much doing the same. As it stands right now I'm on day 16. Would have about 2 months sober if it wasn't for a slip earlier part of this month. Guess I had to really make sure that drinking really wasn't fun anymore and hangovers feel like the tortures of the dammed.

But for the first time since I was a young teen I spent Christmas sober which I feel is a landmark for me. It wasn't to hard seeing as I've come down with a nasty head cold, but in the past a cold still would'nt of stoped me from drinking up on Christmas. I just hope this becomes a new ongoing trend. Been forcing myself into AA meetings. Still just that guy who sits off in the backround and doesn't speak up but I feel better for going after the meeting is over.

But anyway just thought I would check in and say hello, been a while since I posted here. Hope everyones holliday is going well.
