laughter can sometimes be the best medicine, even if short-term
last night at work i had a bad headache so i took tylenol and drank pepperment tea and chamomile tea and lots of water but still had the headache two hours later. (perhaps because i'm only a week into detox)
one of my co-workers who is into holistic healing said my headache would go away if she tied rubberbands to the end of my fingers and left them there for five minutes.
it was so ridiculous that i had a good laugh and my headache went away!
it's hard to find humor in some of the situations that we are facing with alcohol and getting sober, but if you can find that one person to make you laugh, it is truly a blessing.

i think i need the rubber bands again, i feel a toothache coming on. i will check out the other place mentioned to help me laugh, and take some ibuprofen.
i am so thankful to get home at this hour and have this forum to come to for some fellowship, even if there aren't many people awake at this hour. i know i can express myself and check back in the morning to see replies. thanks everybody.

OMG Stubborn I was thinking the same thing then I read your reply ROFL!!!!!
That's one of the reasons I love my home group, we are truly crazy. Get there early for a meeting and you would swear you were in a bar by all the noisy laughter, smoke, and sometimes outrageous banter you hear. Only difference is the lights are on and we are all perfectly sober! I love it!
Hope your toothache feels better, that is no fun!

Now what I want to know is if a toothache means putting rubberbands on a testicle.... where does one put rubberbands if you throw your back out? Maybe I don't want to know, the testicles is bad enough!!!!

had many people in the past say, I gave them headaches as well
