quick question I was wondering if this happened to anyone else? I used to drink alot. I haven't had a drink in 11 years. Before I finally quit I found that even if I had 1 drink I would be sick, hungover and very achy for about 4 days. When I was drinking lots everyday I just don't remember really feeling hungover. I had really cut down on my drinking about 15 years ago. Than about 13 years ago I started drinking again. I was going though a rough time with my ex and was getting ready to leave him. Once I left him and get my life 'restarted' than I cut down on my drinking to just having a couple drinks about 3 or 4 times a week. Than I was down to just a couple drinks once a week. Than I noticed that I would just feel sick from just one. So, I was wondering if anyone else had that problem too? Thanks |
Hmm.. No, your experience is not anything that happened to me. 1 drink of anything never made me ill. :) I did have a weird reaction near the end of my drinking. The tops of my ears turned red. and were very warm when touched. I'm glad we both quit.... |
There is one person I know that quit about 14 years ago and she had similar effects. I think it is a survival mechanism in your bodies, your bodies develop a severe reaction to any amount of alcohol, trying to rid you of the drinking habit. I am no Dr and of course I cannot prove this, but it is what I believe. Why everyone doesn't get this, and some of us drink ourselves to death, I'll never know. |
Thanks... I figured that was what it was too. Just my body saying "enough already" The pain I would get by my liver was just horrible!! |
