I love Butterfingers too and does anyone remember the big, fat, red wax lips?

BB Bats? Mary Janes? Sugar Daddy's? Bazooka bubble gum (with the Bazooka Joe comic inside the wrapper)? Good and Plenty (with Choo Choo Charlie)? Sky Bars? Sno Caps?

Geez . . . . for a kid who wasn't allowed to eat candy (except at Halloween & Easter), I sure remember a lot of the old stuff. Must have made a huge impression because I wasn't allowed to have it.

I don't remember the Clark bar commercials. I do remember those wax lips. I could never figure out if they were to play with or eat! And the Bazooka Joe comics! Hated the gum but I loved the cartoons!

Chum gum, big hunk, wax lips and teeth, junior mints, jujubes. I'll try not to think about the abba zabba for the rest of the day. Makes me home sick for California.

LOL at the candy cigs and the wax bottles!! I actually bought some wax lips on Monday. Vampire ones. Not quite as thrilling as I remember but it was fun driving home from the drug store with them in my mouth.

For my favorite candy, I'm gonna be the black sheep here and say....Black licorice!!! Yummm.

My Dad grew up Mormon (he is no longer) and he still uses these to stay awake when he drives. He loves coffee but he says that picking stuff out of his teeth is so much better that having the jitters.

I can't eat much candy anymore but my children are awesome about letting mom have a nibble of theirs.

There is a web site where you can order traditional candies. Search Nostalgic candies. There is a site with a lot of the good ones. I think I'm going to order some for the family.

Oooh, they have the old Jolly Ranchers sticks. They used to be .10 when I was growing up. The cinnamon ones were my favorite.

Kits! They were like small individually wrapped pieces of taffy.

Nothing beats red licorice, though!
