It's just so sad!

I heard yesterday a work mate was fired for drinking on the job. She's struggled with alcohol and bulimia for many years, through many rehabs. Last time I saw her she was so thin and shaking like a leaf. I wondered if maybe she had some form of nerve damage. I tried calling her today but the number I have is old and was disconnected.

I hate that this disease takes so many of us. She is a beautiful and kind person. I don't know why she just couldn't seem to grasp on to the life lines she was tossed in rehab and by those who love her.

Please hold a positive thought or a prayer for this woman.

Sending prayers her way. Maybe you could seek her out. She sounds like my best friend that passed away. I also wish there was a cure. It breaks my heart so much.

Thank you all for the prayers and good thoughts. I left a few messages for people who know her to let her know I'm here if she needs anything. And maybe someone will have her new contact info for me.

It's such a shame she doesn't realize how much she is loved and how special she is.

Another work friend died a few years ago in almost the same situation. Long history of drinking, declining help and then fired. She lost her house and was living rough. I hate this disease!
